Hello! I’m Brian Mann
The pastor at Catherine Lake Baptist Church
My greatest calling is being given the right to be called a child of God, “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12–13 ESV). My Christian Faith began in 1997. Additionally, God has called me to be a husband, “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word” (Ephesians 5:25–26 ESV). I have been married just a little longer than I have been saved; a father “Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward” (Psalm 127:3 ESV). I have three children from the Lord; and a gospel minister “Therefore, having this ministry by the mercy of God, we do not lose heart.” (2 Corinthians 4:1 ESV). I have been a pastor since early 2000 and have served at Catherine Lake since January 1, 2009.
We live in challenging times, but times which present no great challenge to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As God’s called and appointed shepherd at Catherine Lake Baptist Church, I give thanks for the flock which he has purchased with his own blood, and ensured will continue in the faith according to his particular promises to all who believe. Pastoral ministry means being cared for, led, and protected by the Word of God in a godless world. We can expect God’s kingdom to grow without end and with ever increasing glory. Nonetheless, every believer must get into a sound church under a God called elder/pastor to fully benefit from God’s promises. Catherine Lake is an outpost in the world, that looks with hope for the world to be covered with the glory of God as far as the waters cover the sea. May I encourage you to read your Bible beginning with Genesis 1:1 and submit your life to Jesus Christ as creator, redeemer, friend, and king as revealed throughout the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. Your first step of submission to Jesus Christ should include baptism into a local church that faithfully preaches the Bible. If you are in the Catherine Lake area, we encourage you to attend. If not, we would be glad to pray for you and help direct you to a church in your area.
