Hello! I’m Brian Mann
The pastor of Catherine Lake Baptist Church
As a dad to three children, one of whom has special needs, my wife and I take much interest in how to disciple our family with various needs, and others, with the grace and love of Jesus Christ. My other interests also include homeschooling, fishing, and occasionally following the UNC Tarheels in their March Madness. (but I love Duke and State fans as well 😉
My Approach & Values
God has ingrained in me the value of humility and a high view of Him through hope in His Son Jesus Christ. My ministry is largely shaped by how he is shaping me.
- At Catherine Lake Since Jan. 1 2009
- Other pastoral experience since 2000
- Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies from Southeastern Seminary
- Masters of Theological Studies from Southwestern Seminary
It is with great pleasure that I recommend Brian Mann, as both a biblical scholar and an expositor of the scriptures. I have sat under Brian's teaching, and each lesson, without exception, offered the challenge to faithfully walk with Christ, and the encouragement to trust in God's all-sufficient grace.

I am honored to say a few words about Pastor Brian Mann and the time i spent at his church. I have seldom met anyone with such a genuine love for the Lord and his fellow man. Brian's faithful expository preaching was insightful, challenging, and a blessing every week.

We’ve known Brian for a few years now. He has become such a wonderful advisor. My husband was recently deployed and Brian and his family were so great and comforting throughout the time my husband was gone. He has encouraged us in our faith in many ways. Whether it be books or references to bible verses, Brian found ways to encourage growth in our faith and love for God. Thank you Brian for everything you’ve done for my family!!

I taught Brian here at Southeastern Seminary many years ago. He impressed me as a very diligent student, deeply committed to the Lord. What I know of his activities since then only enhances this evaluation.”
