A prayer for families with disabilities:

Heavenly Father, we need you. We feel weak. Nevertheless we accept that you even purpose our weakness for your glory. So, we will gladly boast in our weaknesses and even in our disabilities so that Christ’s power might rest upon us. We will be content with these things because of Christ who is with us through all things. We love you Father, and we thank you that you know what we need and when we need it and even how to best give us what we need.  And as we ask you this day to meet our needs, we have the assurance that you will. For Christ’s sake, amen.

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”

(2 Corinthians 12:9–10)
