The Coronation

The Coronation

We believe in the exaltation of Jesus Christ, which includes:  His Resurrection, in that He, having the same body in which He suffered, could not be held by death, by His own power rose again the third day, and overcame the one who had the power of death, satisfied Divine justice, and was declared to be the Son of God, for our justification, quickening by grace, and assurance of the resurrection to come;  His Ascension, in that He, in our nature, and as our Head, triumphing over enemies, visibly went  into the highest heavens, to raise up our affections to that place, and to prepare a place for us, and shall continue there until His second advent;  His Being Seated At God’s Right Hand, in that He is advanced to the highest favor with God the Father, with fullness of joy, glory, and power over all things in heaven and earth, and does now gather and defend His Church, furnishes them with gifts and graces, makes intercession for them, and subdues their enemies;  His Coming Again To Judge The World, in that, He who was unjustly judged, and condemned by wicked men, shall come again at the last day with great glory and power, and shall receive endless worship by His elect, for all eternity, and confession from all, that He is God and Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
