God’s Sovereignty

We believe that God, from eternity, decrees or permits all things to come to pass, and perpetually upholds, directs, and governs all creatures and all events; yet not in a way as to diminish human responsibility and accountability for sin and evil, nor to be the author or approver of such acts.  God’s sovereignty should not be considered outside a systematic study of God’s Word, God’s nature, the effects of the Fall, and the message of the Gospel.
